Wings like a dove
When horrendous news arrives, like that of the devastating events in New Orleans at New Year's, do you ever wish you could fly away like a bird escaping the snares of fear and death?
It is incumbent on anyone praying for healing, to lift thought up to a higher perception—to begin to know what God knows. God never causes evil because God is Spirit—infinite good. So what is God knowing? And where does the seeming evil come from? These are big questions. We will explore them at our Testimony meeting this Wednesday evening, January 8. You are always welcome!
It is possible for fears to fade in hope that triumphs over wrongs. This is a prayer for families and communities. Our meeting begins at 7:30 pm in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn or by Zoom.
First, we will have readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Then, attendees will be invited to share healing experiences they’ve had.
From Psalm 55 in the Bible:
“And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. ...
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
... for I have seen violence and strife in the city. Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.”
