The Morning Star
Christ Jesus spoke of himself as "the bright and morning star". The light of this star outshines material circumstances and mortal error. It is seen by honest searchers like the three wise men of the east and the humble shepherds watching their sheep at night. Still today, the light of Christ, Truth, shines out of the darkness.
We can be joyful about this promise in the book of Danial, too.
... they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Dan. 12:3)
Gather with us tonight to hear more about the “star of wonder”. Our weekly Testimony Meeting begins at 7:30 pm in the Roosevelt Room at Brookdale, 60 Nicoll Way, in Glen Ellyn, or at this Zoom link. Everyone is always welcome.
After the readings, those attending will share testimonies of healing and inspiration they have received from studying Christian Science.
Star of being, still thy light
Shines before us in the night,
By those radiant beams we find
Christ, the Truth, for all mankind,
Still the tidings angels bring
With their joyful caroling,
Telling that the dawn has come,
God and man fore’er at one.
(Hymn 11 from the Christian Science Hymnal)
