Strength from God in the face of storms

"He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalms 46:1)

The readings and hymns in our October 9th testimony meeting will be on this topic: God’s present and immediate help in the face of a great storm. Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, made these statements:

"God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power." (pg. 473:8-10)

"The understanding, even in a degree, of the divine All-power destroys fear, and plants the feet in the true path, —the path which leads to the house built withour hands ‘eternal in the heavens.’ " (pg. 454:5-9)
