Let in the light
Truth is always glowing. But sometimes it seems as if we have blinders on and can’t see the Christ-light. We may have only a vague understanding of spiritual Truth.
There is a parable given by Jesus in the Bible which shows that the light of Truth must be tended to, in order to keep it glowing for us.
Very briefly, the parable is that ten bridesmaids had oil lamps. Five took oil with them to the wedding and five didn’t. Well, the five without it weren’t prepared when the bridegroom arrived at midnight and so they didn’t get into the wedding venue. Instead, they were out trying to buy some oil.
Find out more about the light, the spiritual inspiration of Truth and Love available to all, and how to keep it glowing. The readings this Wednesday, September 4, at our weekly Testimony Meeting will be from our Pastor—two books: the Bible and our Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.
The meeting is at 7:30 pm, in Brookdale of Glen Ellyn, and is for the community. You can also join us by Zoom.
