Giving Does Not Impoverish Us

Do you ever feel that there is not enough of you to go around, with all the things that need your attention? Jesus told his followers:

Come unto me, all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

Giving of ourselves to others, caring for a friend or family member, does not deplete us. We find what we need when we lean on God for rest and repose. Mary Baker Eddy says in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures:

Giving does not impoverish us in the service of our Maker, neither does withholding enrich us. (page 79)

We hope that you will join us this Wednesday, March 12th, for our weekly testimony meeting at 7:30 pm (Central).

This meeting for the community will be in person in the Roosevelt Room at Brookdale, 60 Nicoll Avenue in Glen Ellyn. Or, you can join us by Zoom.

All are welcome.
