Bitterness healed
Being bitter over any kind of loss isn’t fun. But we can always learn from our mistakes or distressing circumstances. In fact, these provide an opportunity to lift thought higher, to a more spiritual standpoint. As the saying goes, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.
Many examples are given in the Bible of the reversal of bitterness to joy, as in the experiences of brothers Esau and Jacob; and that of Naomi whose hope in life was renewed. The hard lessons we learn are a benefit to us, turning us back to the sweet fountain of God’s love—our unending source of happiness.
Come find out more about this subject tonight—Wednesday, March 19th. Our weekly Testimony Meeting begins at 7:30 pm (Central) with readings from the Bible and our Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. Join us in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn or by Zoom. Everyone is always welcome.

Father, to Thee we turn away from sorrow,
Thou art the fountain whence our healing flows;
Dark though the night, joy cometh with the morrow;
Safely they rest who on Thy love repose.(The first verse from hymn 57 in the Christian Science Hymnal)
