Flu symptoms healed, assignment accomplished

Study time.

When I was in college, the Asian Flu Pandemic visited our campus, as well as the rest of the world. I lived in Asher House with other Christian Science women. None of us were much aware of this pandemic problem at first. No fear spreading on campus or in the news. No TV.  There were lots of uplifting thoughts and much love shared within the household.

Toward the week’s end I felt a bit ill, but dismissed the problem expecting it to return from whence it came–to it’s nothingness. Friday morning, this error was still hanging on. There was a class I needed to attend, as a paper was due the following Monday. So off I went!

As I left class, the Professor stopped me at his desk, commenting that I didn’t look well. He extended the due date on the paper, an almost unheard of offer. I was grateful. I went home for the weekend where my mother shared healing thoughts and lovingly cared for me.

I continued to feel better as the weekend passed: my paper was finished without rush or worry. The return on Sunday to college and Asher House found me well! I’m grateful for Christian Science and it’s teaching of love, protection from evil, and a way to live life fully.
