Safe from foreign influence

It’s good to know that we are safe from harmful disinformation of any kind when we put our trust in God’s protection. Reports of foreign meddling in the U.S. elections, fake videos and other manipulative content targeting Americans through social media may tempt one to feel insecure. But Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, says this in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures:

Our proportionate admission of the claims of good or of evil determines the harmony of our existence, — our health, our longevity, and our Christianity. (Pg. 167)

We can be conscious of what ideas we are admitting and those we should refuse. Our topic for the readings this Wednesday includes ideas that show we don’t need to fall for foreign manipulation. In this article from The Christian Science Monitor, Officials strive to combat foreign interference in US election, by David Klepper and Eric Tucker of the Associated Press, it is noted that "Foreign meddling in U.S. elections is on the rise. But so is awareness of that threat – and strategies to fight back."
