River of peace
Calm, serene waters reflect their surroundings. Stirred-up, agitated waters don’t produce a clear reflection. In a similar way calm, still thinking produces peace while angry disturbed thoughts can produce violent action.
We can learn to flow with the calm river of God spoken of in the Bible. This will be the topic for Wednesday’s readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy—the two books which serve as our church pastor.
For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, ... (Isaiah 66:12)
