Immigration

In the middle of what seems to be fear, confusion, extremely polarized opinions, lives at stake and nations at variance, God is shepherding each of Her children to “a better land”, as the Bible calls it. This is the land of our true heritage in Spirit.

In our prayers we can affirm God’s direction of each one of us to our true home—dwelling in “the secret place of the most high.” This is a place of healing and safety. It isn’t lawless or chaotic. It is where we shall “abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

This Wednesday, February 5th, our testimony meeting will be held for the community in person in the Roosevelt Room at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn and also by Zoom. For the readings we will hear from our Pastor—the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by the discoverer of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. The theme will be immigration from a spiritual perspective.

Following the readings, those attending can share thoughts and testimonies of healing. We hope to see you this Wednesday at 7:30 pm (Central).

Here are some verses of assurance from the 91st Psalm in the Bible:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God;
in him will I trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.

(Psalms 91:1–4, 9–11)
