A joyful harvest

What’s your “harvest” like this year? The Bible holds many spiritual lessons related to the harvest—an activity everyone was familiar with in ancient times. New Testament parables relating to harvest, given by Jesus, help us understand the Kingdom of Heaven better. The Bible uses images of harvests of grain, vineyards and olive orchards. These provided numerous teaching opportunities. Paul related lessons of resurrection based on nature’s harvests.

How can we benefit today from these lessons on planting and harvesting; from time frames of growth, abundance or lack, seasonal feasts, reaping what is sown, and more?

Harvest is the subject of our readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, this Wednesday. Testimonies of healing from the group will follow.
