Forgo the foolish

Do you ever look back on foolish things you have done and wonder, “how could I ever have done that!” You are not alone. Even Jesus’ disciples had lots of lessons to learn before they really understood his teachings.

By yielding to God’s will they progressed in their understanding. Rising above the sometimes foolish ways of their past helped them to demonstrate the truths Jesus taught—they were able to heal the sick.

The Bible reveals this wisdom in the book of 1st Corinthians: “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

Join us tonight, April 2, for our healing Testimony Meeting where we will cover this topic. The readings will be from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. We gather in person at Brookdale of Glen Ellyn, as well as by Zoom. All are welcome at 7:30 pm (Central).

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, ...

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

(Ephesians 5:15, 17)
