Healing extreme weather

The sermon portion of our Wednesday meeting on August 9, at 7:30 pm, is from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. It will respond to the reporting we have heard in the press this summer about incessant heat on the planet and its disastrous effects.

We hear so much about '“following the science” these days. The readings will help to reassure concerned people with a Christian “Science”, the spiritual method by which the Biblical prophets and Jesus showed tremendous power over effects of nature.

Our hope and trust is that this can help to direct our prayers and show us how to replace fear for our planet’s future with confidence in God’s all-powerful goodness and harmony to keep us safe. As we become aware of the spiritual heaven and earth—where we live right now—this in itself becomes a powerful prayer to bless our earth and fellow inhabitants of it.

Testimonies of healing in Christian Science will follow the readings. Please feel free to come for any portion of the Zoom meeting. We welcome all thinkers!
